Why Do You Need to Test for Radon?

Radon is a radioactive gas that comes from the natural breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water and gets into the air you breathe. It has been found in homes all over the United States. Typically, radon enters your home through cracks and other holes in the foundation. It can also enter your home through well water. Radon can be trapped inside your home. It is recommended by the EPA and the Surgeon General that you have your home tested.

Radon Measurement

We use radon detection monitors that are calibrated every six months and are very accurate measurement tools. The monitor continually monitors the level of radon and gives an instant reading of the amount of radon in the home every hour. This is used for a minimum of 48 hours. Test results are given in a printed report that gives a comprehensive look at the radon levels each hour during the test.
